We are looking for a Specialist Global Financial Accountingto join the Ptp/RtR Process Tower.
The Process Tower Global Financial Accounting strives to improve quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the respective end-to-end processes across both the PtP and RtR business functions. The team provides centrally coordinated support to the Express regions, drives process design, standardization and harmonization and manages the implementation of new processes. It enables projects in close cooperation with the BPO, Business IT, ERP, ITS and business organization. The team focusses on continuous improvement of PtP & RtR processes using The First Choice Way, and securing business continuity and delivery of improved operational efficiency against evolving business requirements.
The Process Tower Global Financial Accounting is responsible for creating one standard across the globe. In addition, certain activities are centralized in a Shared Service Center environment which enables us to achieve an economy of scale and focus. The majority of the team is working from SSC Maastricht but also consists of colleagues in SSCs in other regions (e.g Kuala Lumpur and Costa Rica).
**How will you contribute to the success of DHL?**
As a Specialist Global Financial Accounting you aim to improve global quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the end-to-end FA processes in collaboration with the Business through process improvements, automation and harmonization and support their implementation globally. He/she is responsible to provide interpretation, guidance and expertise on the Global FA processes. You deliver centrally coordinated support to global/regional/country implementation of new processes and technology to ensure full understanding and support towards the global procedures, policies, working closely together with BPO, the ERP team, other Process Towers, OtC, ITS and the business organization via Regional and country CFO’s. You continuously improve FA processes using First Choice methodology and in accordance to Corporate Accounting guidelines and IFRS rules.
Your activities can be described in 3 main topics:
**Process Management**
- Drive the implementation of the GOM. Participate in deployment projects (managed by BPO) making sure processes and tools are deployed according to the Global standard. Raise potential deviations timely to Product Manager or Tower Head for decision;
- Support optimization of FA processes taking into account best practises from all countries;
- Maintenance of Global Policies, Standard Operating Procedures and Process Flows;
- Run continuous improvement initiatives in the area of efficiency, effectiveness and quality;
- Identify and implement initiatives for process improvements, process harmonization and efficiency;
- Provide expert input for Business Requirement Statements.
**Product management**
- Manage the product that it answers the business needs, now and in the future;
- Evaluate all Requests For Change related to the product;
- Manage the process to complete the BRS for RFC's related to the product, the approval of the BRS, the quotation process (via Product Owner), the prioritization, the development, the UAT, the training and the release to production;
- Provide input to Product Owner in preparation for periodic Service Performance Meetings and contract negotiations.
**Stakeholder management**
- Build and maintain effective relationships with SSC teams and, country finance teams ensuring buy-in and adherence to Global Operating Model;
- Work together effectively with other Process Towers, ERP team, BPO and Business IT making sure requirements and priorities are clear and aligned and delivered;
- Develop a team spirit and effective cooperation across regions.
**Do you have what it takes?**
We are looking for someone with a University degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics and extensive experience working within a specific area of expertise. You possess expert knowledge on accounting processes and tools, preferably within the business of DHL Express.
