We are seeking a skilled Data Center Technician to join our team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data center facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare work permits for vendors and engineers to access our facilities
  • Support weekend greenzone change activities, including Sunday IPC 100% turret testing
  • Conduct physical device and rack inventory in our TR/CR facilities
  • Perform quarterly and annual media/HDD recon, including physical scanning and system updates
  • Check for physical alerts and escalate to local L2 teams as needed
  • Coordinate with GCC and TELCO teams to ensure seamless operations
  • Escort vendors for device checking and troubleshooting
  • Activate LAN ports and troubleshoot network issues for user PC connections
  • Support site activities at branches, including vendor installation, decommissioning, and Telco maintenance
  • Update and close relevant tickets in a timely manner
  • Perform daily health checks using Smarthands
  • Update weekly change activity in Excel files for resource assignment and review
  • Raise incidents and impacted devices to GCC for pre- and post-device availability status
  • Start services and monitor file transfers to and from vendors
  • Monitor incoming file transfers from hosts
  • Update health checks for RDC tasks
  • Perform Tape Librarian duties

Projects Support:

  • Support Jabber phone collections, scanning, and updates
  • Install and stack analog routers
  • Perform physical installation and decommissioning of devices, including checklists
  • Support Citi relocation projects in KLCP 1/2
  • Assist with Uplink migration from old core to new core
  • Support CPX switch migration
  • Contribute to Network EOVS
