Assistant Vice President, Professional Indemnity Insurance (PII) Scheme for Lawyers

What the day will look like

This will include:
  • Liaising with lawyers and law firms on their policy renewals and administration and ensuring all policies are renewed before deadline
  • Following up on renewal quotations that require further review
  • Advising lawyers and law firms on terms and conditions of policies
  • Advising lawyers and law firms on details of product offerings and benefits
  • Develop marketing and technical campaign plans, including the organizing of events related to the Scheme
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to improve/enhance systems and processes
  • Supervising / providing assistance to / working together with other team members to ensure effective administration of the Scheme
  • Providing any other additional support and assistance as may be required to successfully execute the PII Scheme

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Education & Qualifications/ Expected Experiences
  • A degree in any discipline - preferably LL.B, Economics, Actuarial Science, Business Administration or ACII
  • At least 3-5 years of experience dealing with lawyers or in the insurance industry as broker and/or insurer
  • Fluent in English and proficient in Bahasa Malaysia
  • Possess BCCITB certification or must complete BCCITB certification upon joining
  • Operationally efficient and sound
Skills & Knowledge
  • Relevant working experience in the broking / insurance industry
  • Demonstrate proactive-ness and results-driven attitude in past work
  • Experienced in client service / account handling
  • Independent, positive personality
  • Good English language, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Good Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office application
