The role of Senior Specialist, Tax, NEA/SEA is to assist the Director of Tax in managing tax risks in the Asia region. This involves overseeing corporate tax, indirect tax, withholding tax, and transfer pricing.
Key Responsibilities:- Review corporate tax returns of entities in Malaysia and Singapore.
- Review year-end closing/true-up of current and deferred tax schedules/balances for Group's tax reporting requirements.
- Assist business units and other supporting functions in Asia region with matters related to direct, indirect tax, and withholding tax.
- Assist in direct, indirect tax, withholding, and transfer pricing controversies/self-tax assessments.
- Monitor relevant tax legislation and development, and implement changes where necessary.
- Enhance tax awareness within the organization and conduct in-house trainings on direct tax and indirect tax topics.
- Prepare and assist in transfer pricing documentations.
- Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in Singapore and Malaysia corporate tax.
- Degree or relevant post-graduate/professional accounting qualifications recognized by professional bodies/associations.
- Possess passion, initiative, strong technical skills, and an analytical mind.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint, with familiarity with SAP.
- Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing Mandarin.
