This role reports to the Finance Director in Malaysia and manages wholesale and retail finance teams, including one direct report. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial accounting, reporting, internal controls, and audits for wholesale and retail operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Wholesale and Retail Finance Operations Support:
    • Update wholesale collections and ensure billing documents are posted in SAP.
    • Prepare and send reminder letters for overdue balances, monthly statements, and manage AR Aging Reports, including credit limit reviews.
    • Process non-trade credit notes and reconcile sub-ledger balances with the general ledger.
    • Manage and maintain records of Dealer Distribution Agreements.
    • Oversee Master Data Governance, including creation, modification, and deletion of customer master data in compliance with company policies.
    • Lead AR Wholesale activities, focusing on process improvements and projects.
  • For Retail and E-commerce:
    • Lead and supervise the finance team, ensuring smooth operations.
    • Perform month-end account closings, sales settlements, and customer refunds.
    • Liaise with external partners for disputes and manage relationships with landlords and auditors.
    • Develop a control framework to meet KPI/SLA targets and review reports for accuracy and timeliness.
    • Identify and address process risks, implementing corrective actions to enhance corporate governance.
  • Boutique Review, Control, and Compliance:
    • Conduct operational reviews and compliance training for boutiques.
    • Collaborate with Brands, Compliance, and RRF teams to strengthen retail operation controls and monitor improvement plan implementation.
    • Coordinate with the Compliance team to resolve control process issues and ensure adherence to Anti-Money Laundering requirements.
  • Team Development:
    • Structure and develop the team to support finance operations effectively, focusing on operational control and audit skills while maintaining a customer-centric approach.
Requirements
  • University graduate with a major in Business, Accounting, or Finance, or equivalent professional qualifications.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in Finance or Accounting, including 2-3 years in financial or internal auditing; experience in the retail industry is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of International and Local Accounting and Auditing Standards, and corporate governance.
  • Proven management skills to attract, retain, and develop a team.
  • Strong business acumen and attention to operational issues.
  • Proficient in English, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with SAP FI.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently and tactfully with various management levels.
  • High learning capability with a proactive, innovative, organised, and meticulous approach, coupled with a "can-do" attitude.
