The post-holder will be primarily responsible for developing, coordinating, and administering all aspects of the Credit Union's annual training plan, including delivering quality training programmes to effectively equip staff at all levels, including Executive management, Senior and Mid-Management, and Administrative staff at the Credit Union locally and in Cayman Brac, to achieve and maintain the required competency levels. The post-holder will also assist with the training sessions being offered to the Board of Directors, members of the Supervisory Committee, and Credit Committee.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Liaising with management to create annual training and development plans which include identifying development opportunities for each employee and documenting complete training plans for staff at all levels. Plans are to be reviewed and updated on a quarterly basis throughout the full fiscal year.
- Plan, coordinate, and ensure the delivery of training for staff at all levels, board of directors, and Committee members.
- Creating relevant in-house training programs and resources for staff and selecting the most appropriate training methods and activities to meet the Credit Union's Annual Training and development goals annually.
- Performing needs assessment to identify knowledge gaps and areas in need of improvement.
- Providing vital information about training sessions and informing personnel about available training.
- Researching and recommending new training techniques to HR, creating the curriculum, and updating it to reflect developments within the industry.
- Ensure that all Mandatory training per the Learning & Development Policy are completed by all staff during the fiscal year.
- Train, re-train, and facilitate testing for staff in related areas such as customer service, management/supervisory, and applications; numbers will depend on needs at the time but could be offered at least on a quarterly basis.
- Responsible for arranging local and overseas staff training and official visits overseas (including course registering and reservations) in consultation with the Chief Executive Officer and the Human Resources Manager. Track and maintain electronic records of all Credit Union staff training and professional education activities.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- The post holder must possess a bachelor's degree in a related relevant field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in training, education, or presentation delivery.
- Experience in using a Learning Management System within a Performance Management Programme would be beneficial.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work on own initiative.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
- The ability to work cohesively with peers and senior management.
