Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Senior Video Editor to join our creative team. As our Senior Video Editor, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the production of high-quality video content for our WORLD OF BUZZ platform and for the company. You will work closely with our marketing and creative teams to create engaging and compelling videos and visuals that effectively communicate our brand's message and capture the attention of our target audience.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Videography: Participate in video shoots, ensuring proper framing, lighting, and audio setup. Assist in capturing high-quality footage and audio recordings. Record and develop multimedia (audio/video) news content, in-house production videos, client's promotional videos, recruiting videos, corporate training and other company-wide projects.
  2. Video Editing: Edit video and sound projects, including selecting program format for final output, capturing/importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and sound files, creating and inserting static and motion graphics, titling, adding music/voice-over/sfx, media management and archiving project media.
  3. Mentorship Support: Assisting Head of Video in coaching and mentoring junior video editors or video interns to support the video production process. To provide guidance and coordinate the team in the absence of team lead and monitor the progress of junior members' performance.
  4. Creative Ideation: Contribute fresh and innovative video and trend ideas that align with our brand identity and resonate with our target audience.
  5. Layout and Typography: Work precisely to ensure proper layout, typography, and visual hierarchy in all video projects.
  6. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand video and visual needs and execute projects that align with marketing objectives.
  7. Brand Consistency: Maintain consistency and adherence to brand guidelines across all design assets.
  8. Project Management: Manage multiple media projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and meeting deadlines.
  9. Learning Opportunity: Learn and apply media principles, industry trends, and best practices under the guidance of experienced video producers and editors.

Requirements

  1. Current enrollment or recent graduation in a relevant field, such as Film Production, Digital Media, Visual Arts, Multimedia or a related discipline.
  2. Proficiency in video editing softwares, including Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects.
  3. Photography and Videography skills: Familiar with camera equipment and operation.
  4. Strong creativity and artistic skills demonstrated through a portfolio of previous video editing projects.
  5. Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and ability to ensure design accuracy and quality.
  6. Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and explain design concepts.
  7. Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload efficiently.
  8. Enthusiasm for Learning: Eager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment while taking constructive feedback positively.
  9. Team Player: Collaborative and willing to contribute to a positive team culture.
