Position Overview: Marketing and Communications Manager

The Marketing and Communications Manager will play a crucial role in developing and executing marketing, branding, and communication strategies to enhance the organization's visibility and outreach. This individual will be responsible for creating compelling narratives, managing digital and traditional media channels, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, donors, and the broader community to further the organization's mission.

The role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in marketing, public relations, and digital communications, capable of crafting impactful messaging and ensuring consistent brand positioning. A solid foundation in public relations is essential to effectively manage media relationships and promote the organization's work to a broader audience.

The organization focuses on poverty alleviation, health services, and family support through key programs, including a medical clinic, food bank, feeding programme, shelter home for unwed mothers with unplanned pregnancies, and clothing bank.

To strengthen brand presence and community engagement, the Marketing and Communications Manager will lead initiatives such as:

  • Content Creation & Storytelling – Developing compelling stories that highlight the impact of the organization's work.
  • Social Media & Digital Marketing – Managing online platforms to engage with donors, volunteers, and the public.
  • Public Relations & Media Outreach – Building relationships with media outlets to secure coverage.
  • Branding & Visual Identity – Ensuring consistency in messaging and design across all communication channels.
  • Event Promotion – Supporting fundraising and awareness events through strategic marketing.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Communicating effectively with partners, donors, and beneficiaries.

This role requires a creative, proactive, and results-oriented individual who can elevate the organization's presence and foster a strong, engaged community.

Job Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and branding strategy.
  • Ensure alignment of all communication efforts with the organization's mission and values.
  • Oversee the creation of marketing materials, including brochures, newsletters, and reports.
  • Monitor and enhance the organization's online presence, website, and digital platforms.

Content Creation & Storytelling

  • Craft compelling narratives that showcase the impact of the organization's programs.
  • Produce and oversee written, visual, and video content for various channels.
  • Develop donor and stakeholder communication materials that drive engagement and support.

Social Media & Digital Marketing

  • Manage and grow social media channels, creating engaging content and campaigns.
  • Utilize digital tools such as SEO, Google Ads, and email marketing to expand reach.
  • Track and analyze digital performance metrics to optimize communication strategies.
  • Build relationships with journalists, bloggers, and media outlets to increase coverage.
  • Develop press releases, opinion pieces, and media kits to promote key initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and interviews.
  • Leverage public relations strategies to enhance the organization's credibility and public engagement.

Event Promotion & Community Engagement

  • Support the marketing and promotion of fundraising events and community initiatives.
  • Develop and execute strategies for donor and volunteer engagement.
  • Work closely with event organizers to maximize awareness and participation.

Stakeholder & Internal Communication

  • Coordinate communications with donors, corporate partners, and beneficiaries.
  • Develop newsletters, reports, and impact stories to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Ensure strong internal communication and collaboration with all departments.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Provide reports on communication efforts, engagement metrics, and media outreach.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging digital tools.
