Job Description

Analyses financial status by collecting, monitoring and studying data; recommending actions.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  1. Track, monitor, analyse and control department budget
  2. Prepare monthly financial analysis of actual against budget
  3. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of cost centers and management report
  4. Consolidate spending at divisional level and perform detailed analysis of cost on product level
  5. Recommends actions by analysing data and making comparative analyses
  6. Involve and focus heavily on budgetary control, financial analysis and management reports
  7. Reconciles transactions by comparing and correcting data, maintain database by entering, verifying and backing up data.
  8. Involve in costing closing activities, prepare reports after month end closing, inventory reconciliation, and maintain standard cost in Oracle.
  9. Prepare various reports and charts Operation Review when necessary.
  10. Involve in capital tracking and depreciation forecast
  11. Participate in ad-hoc projects and reports as assigned by immediate supervisor from time to time
  12. Ensure meeting company and departmental compliance to applicable legal and IMS requirements.
  13. Responsible for the health and safety of the individual at the workplace.
  14. Participate in related risk assessment activities eg. RA, BCP, BIA, BPM

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance or Business Administration, preferably a member of a professional body
  2. Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in the management reporting, cost accounting, budgetary control in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Preferred

  1. Able to manage routine workload and ad-hoc projects with minimal supervision
  2. Able to work independently as well as a team member
  3. Preferably good exposure to ERP accounting system
  4. Demonstrated experience with capital budget, accounting, financial analysis and reporting

Skills

  1. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in major languages. E.g. written and verbal
  2. Strong analytical skills and interpersonal skills
  3. Good work ethics - be at work on time, work to your best ability and strive to meet target and deadline
  4. Possess strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  5. Flexible – ability to quickly react to changing business needs
  6. Problem solving skills – motivated to take challenges with minimal supervision
  7. Positive attitude and ability to act as team player
