Credit Manager

Job Description

The Credit Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of development of hire purchase credit assessment, risk management, and decision-making in the development and execution of hire purchase agreements. This position requires an individual who can balance the company's risk exposure with customer service, driving growth and ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  1. Own the introduction and operationalization of digital financing for our digital financing business, including developing innovative financing products tailored to our customers' needs.
  2. Work with internal and external critical stakeholders for business and individual customer acquisition.
  3. Ensure that all digital financing initiatives adhere to regulatory requirements, mitigate risk effectively, and maintain compliance standards.

Roles

  1. Take ownership of project delivery and drive the development of the digital financing business, working independently with guidance from the management team.
  2. Oversee key customer success metrics and performance indicators and manage the lending portfolio's financial aspects to ensure its success.
  3. Undertake the project management office (PMO) role for various workstreams within the project, including Technology, Product & System, Business & Strategy, Operations Processes, and Risk & Compliance.

The role requires the candidate to work independently with guidance from the management team, take direct ownership of project delivery, and shape and drive forward the development of the digital financing business.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  2. Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in credit management or related roles.
  3. Strong understanding of credit assessment processes and risk management principles.
  4. Experience with implementing and managing credit assessment tools and systems.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Ability to lead and motivate a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
