The ideal candidate will be located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

As a Human Resources Shared Services Manager you will:
  1. Lead the HRSSC organization, ensuring delivery of all HR administration related transactions to high standards of customer satisfaction.
  2. Directly manage the performance and development of the HRSSC team, building up a strong capable team who will deliver excellence in administering Payroll, HR transaction data, database records and ensuring compliance for the wide range of in scope activities.
  3. Drive the ongoing performance of the HR Shared Services Team – leading, managing and developing the team to ensure an integrated approach to service delivery, operational efficiency and client-focused culture.
  4. Be recognized as the face of GBS H2R Shared Services, building excellent working relationships with HR Business Partners, other GBS Managers and key customers and working to clearly understand service needs and business expectations for the team in a proactive and positive manner.
  5. Positively influence the HR Business Partners and customers of the benefits of implementing new processes or practices, securing their support and buy-in and managing change through service transitions.
  6. Engage with HR Business Partners to understand their HR service needs and collaborate to create improved HR business processes, practices and services that will add value to their business lines.
  7. Drive process standardization and improvement within HR Shared Services working closely with other internal teams to ensure technology is optimized to best meet HR Shared Services and customer requirements.
  8. Introducing and applying new methods and applications to the HR Shared Service Team when feasible and appropriate.
  9. Manage tracking and reporting of service delivery in the HR Shared Services Team according to agreed KPI's/SLAs and other agreed measures.
  10. Act as the Senior HR specialist and general HR subject matter expert with direct involvement in operational HR cases where a greater level of seniority or experience is required.
  11. Act as the point of escalation and arbitration to resolve long-standing or complex cases raised through the HR Shared Services Team or from senior business customers.
  12. Keep personal knowledge up-to-date through external networking and attending conferences bringing back leading-edge and innovative HR Shared Services thinking and sharing this with the team and HR Leadership.
  13. Ensure 100% in SOX and regulatory compliance in the HR services delivery.
  14. Communicate EHS standards to the team and implement in all daily activities and operational processes. Contribute and participate in EHS programs as appropriate.
What skills and experiences are we looking for?
  1. Education – Bachelor or Masters' degree in a relevant discipline.
  2. Experiences 10-12 years of MNC experience in a HR services or specialist role.
  3. Demonstrable success in an HR Service leadership role and prior experience in the set up or ongoing management of a Shared Service Centre.
  4. Very good people leadership skills with demonstrated ability to motivate, coach and train a successful team and create a customer-centric culture.
  5. Ability to influence and network with appropriate stakeholders to achieve results with a collaborative approach to priority setting and problem solving.
  6. Proven experience of advising and supporting internal stakeholders.
  7. Demonstrated capability in leading change and transitions.
  8. Proven track record of reviewing, streamlining, and standardizing existing HR transactional services with a focus to deliver efficiency, quality, and cost effectiveness.
  9. Discreet with the ability to handle confidential and sensitive situations.
  10. Good foundation of HR concepts/principles acquired through hands-on HR operations execution and transactional service experience.
  11. Experience of working as part of a project team and in project management an advantage.
  12. Relationship management skills working with external partner/service providers.
  13. Excellent understanding and experience of working with HRSSC systems preferred, especially Workday and Service Now case management tools.
  14. Broad understanding of APAC Labor law and relevant regulations a plus.
  15. Additional languages a plus.
