The Logistics and Equipment/Material Manager reports to the Construction Manager. He/She is responsible for the coordination, storage, and movement of materials and equipment at the construction site.

The role requires ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods, equipment, and resources, contributing to the timely and successful completion of the construction project. Responsibilities include tracking and managing delivery, overseeing international shipping, verifying the physical condition of equipment on-site delivery, planning for temporary holding at laydown areas, managing traffic flow, and facilitating site access.

Responsibilities:
  1. Work with project stakeholders to address and resolve product-related issues with Clients, Owner's Representatives, Architects, Consultants, General Contractors, Subcontractors, Suppliers, and Inspectors.
  2. Review material/equipment packages for compliance with drawings and specifications.
  3. Attend project and vendor site visits to review Factory Witness Tests on products, if required.
  4. Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations regarding the use of equipment.
  5. Monitor the worksite to identify potential hazards related to logistics and equipment use, taking corrective action when necessary.
  6. Create and maintain equipment tracking log.
  7. Participate in project close-out process and evaluate information to ensure compliance with contract documents, including preparation of final records for project such as close-out records, warranties, as-builts, Operations & Maintenance manuals (O&Ms), attic stock, and spare parts.
  8. Coordinate with equipment suppliers to conduct a thorough survey of site access before bringing in the equipment.
  9. Oversee and plan for receiving, unloading, handling, and storage of equipment in accordance with the project execution plan.
  10. Review and advise on the material management plan submitted by stakeholders.
  11. Ensure a tagging/labelling process for sequential installation of equipment.
  12. Oversee supply chain management including procurement, inventory, and logistics as per project schedule and priority.
  13. Risk management to identify, analyze, and mitigate risks in material procurement, equipment delivery, and project timeline.
  14. Oversee the warranty terms and conditions of all equipment, including Long Lead Equipment (LLE) and Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE).
  15. Oversee the handling of equipment during/post installation and handover to the operations team.
  16. Notify the equipment supplier/integrator of any defects during delivery.
  17. Any other duties assigned by his/her superior.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, Construction Management, Building Construction, Supply Chain, or related field, with a minimum of 10 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  2. Familiar with a wide range of construction equipment, skids, assemblies, and modules.
  3. Familiar with engineering principles and techniques, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and basic understanding of construction accounting procedures.
  4. Ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedule.
  5. Able to work with minimum information and quickly develop an understanding of owner/architect requirements.
  6. Strong project management skills to anticipate threats/opportunities, flag risks, and resolve issues to facilitate timely project delivery.
  7. Ability to manage competing demands and meet established deadlines.
  8. Familiar with continuous improvement methodologies.
  9. Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  10. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications and collaborative tools.
  11. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a project team.
  12. Strong English communication skills (written and oral).
