About the Role:

We are looking for a visionary leader to serve as the Head of IT Systems & Services. In this role, you will shape our IT strategy, maintain our core ERP system, and drive the modernisation of our IT systems and services. This position is ideal for someone ready to build and nurture a robust IT department while providing immediate technical leadership.

Responsibilities:

1) Strategic IT Leadership:

  • Develop and implement IT policies and procedures that align with overall business objectives.
  • Lead strategic initiatives to evolve our IT infrastructure and services.

2) System & Database Oversight:

  • Oversee the maintenance and optimisation of our legacy ERP system and MSSQL databases.
  • Manage the creation and execution of MSSQL queries for system enhancements and data reporting.

3) IT Asset & Service Management:

  • Direct IT asset management, ensuring efficient onboarding/offboarding processes and optimal use of resources.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for IT issues, vendor relationships, and cross-departmental collaborations.

4) Operational Excellence & Team Building:

  • Implement best practices in backup, disaster recovery, and IT security.
  • Mentor emerging IT talent and help build a future-proof IT team.

5) Documentation & Compliance:

  • Ensure thorough documentation of systems, configurations, and procedural changes.
  • Uphold IT security standards and regulatory compliance across the organisation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive experience (7+ years) in IT leadership, systems management, or operational roles.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing MSSQL databases, RDP environments, and legacy system support.
  • Strong strategic planning, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to lead and inspire teams.
  • Experience in IT asset management, backup/disaster recovery, and security protocols.
  • A track record of integrity, ethical behavior, and commitment to continuous improvement.
