About the role

As a Merchant Sales Executive at AmBank Group, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's merchant acquisition efforts in the Butterworth region of Penang. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and customer-oriented environment, contributing to the growth and success of our merchant services business.

What you'll be doing

  1. Actively identify and engage with new merchant prospects to expand our merchant network in Butterworth.
  2. Conduct face-to-face sales meetings with potential merchants to understand their business needs and present tailored merchant services solutions.
  3. Effectively negotiate and close merchant agreements, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience.
  4. Provide ongoing support and maintain strong relationships with our existing merchant base.
  5. Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop and implement strategies to drive merchant acquisition.
  6. Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and key performance indicators.
  7. Participate in training and development programs to enhance your sales and product knowledge.

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales or merchant-facing role, preferably in the financial services or payment industry.
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with merchants.
  3. Proven track record of successfully meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  4. Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
  5. Familiarity with merchant services products and acquirer/payment processor operations.
  6. A self-motivated and result-oriented individual with a passion for sales and customer success.
