OPERATIONS READINESS MANAGER (ORM)

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Coordinate general Project Management activities (e.g. planning, recruitment and training, manpower mobilization, cost control) along the typical WIN and EXECUTE project phases up to the start-up of an FPSO operation.
  2. Generate the OR philosophy and detailed plan for the Project, and monitor and report on their implementation.
  3. Coordinate approval of the onshore and offshore core complements and associated ramp up plans.
  4. In conjunction with the Operability lead Engineer, monitor status of SBM Operations operational input and design comments to the Project team and follow up to ensure their satisfactory close out.
  5. Coordinate generation of Operational and Capital spare parts lists and monitor their procurement by the Project.
  6. Coordinate generation and set up of the CMMS.
  7. Monitor development and issue of Management System and Operational manuals.
  8. Coordinate the identification of all applicable laws, regulations, licences and permit requirements, and ensure that the FPSO is in compliance with same.
  9. Assist with set up of new Operations Office or liaison with existing Operations Office for the FPSO operation.
  10. Administrative management of SBM Operations personnel in the Execution Center and yard.
  11. Follow up and resolution of technical problems with the Project team in the design offices and yard.
  12. Preparation, negotiation and finalisation of major subcontracts for in country operation.
  13. Monitor implementation of the SBM Operations Management system on board the FPSO prior to departure from the yard.
  14. Monitor implementation of the document control and filing system on board the FPSO.
  15. Coordinate generation of the Project Training matrix and monitor Implementation of the training and competency assessment program.
  16. Monitor progress on commissioning of equipment and systems in the yard, and logging and close out of punch list items.
  17. Coordinate Internal pre sail and pre start up audits and monitor their implementation and subsequent close out of action items.
  18. Provide regular reports to the regional Operations Readiness Manager on the above activities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  1. School/studies/degree:
    • Marine Qualification (Master or Chief Engineer) or a University Degree in a relevant subject.
    • Minimum 5 years with an Offshore Contracting Company, 3 at least in the FSO/FPSO sector.
  2. Experience:
    • High Level of Safety Awareness and good sense of economics.
  3. Behaviours & inter-personal skills – Key points
    • Excellent communication skills mandatory.
    • Analytical Spirit.
    • Autonomous.
    • Anticipation skills to deliver on time several projects.
    • Abilities to work on several projects simultaneously.
