Senior or Claims Executive

The Senior/Claims Executive is a crucial role in a company by evaluating insurance claims to ensure their validity and determining the appropriate compensation. They help maintain the company's financial stability and reputation by providing fair and accurate claim assessments. Additionally, they contribute to customer satisfaction by ensuring a smooth and transparent claims process, ultimately helping the company achieve its goals and milestones.
Main Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Claims, you shall be responsible to:
- Manage all lines of claims including and not limited to Work Injury, Motor, Property, Casualty, Bonds, Marine and Cyber.
- Ensure accurate and prompt claims processing within stipulated turnaround time.
- Access policy liability, compute and determine claims amount payable based on policy cover and in accordance to management guidelines.
- Handle phone and email enquiries and attend to walk-in policyholders/claimants in relation to claims and payment status in accordance with Company procedures.
- Study claims history and highlight to Superior any abnormalities or repeated complaints.
- Cross-collaborate with other departments internally.
- Liaise with all stakeholders, including service providers, intermediaries, and partners.
- Contribute to roundtable discussions for new product developments and suggestions to implement procedures for claims handling to create a better/positive customer experience.
- Be actively involved in reviewing existing work processes to streamline and improve operational efficiency and implement new work processes/systems.
- Perform any ad-hoc duties when assigned.

- 3-5 years of claims assessment experience.
- Claims experience in Motor, Marine and P&C classes is preferred.
- Experience in liaising with service providers, intermediaries, and customers.
- Experience in large loss reporting and case management.
- Proficient in MS Office applications and claims systems.
- Understanding of insurance regulations and compliance.
- Strong technical knowledge in claims.
- Exercise logical and good judgment in case management.
