We are looking for a motivated and skilled Sr Program Manager in Malaysia. In this role, you will be instrumental in achieving our strategic objectives by using analytics. Working collaboratively with team members across Micron's global sites, you will contribute to our profitability goals and future cost reduction aspirations. You will also lead cross-functional initiatives across category teams, developing and implementing actionable insights that empower the category team to meet business objectives. Key Responsibilities:

  • Be related industry expert (Mechanical, EMS, Equipment etc) to provide training & mentoring to related CSM on the specific categories' should cost analysis.
  • Work closely with related CSM using the McKinsey Cleansheet system to create the should cost model, gather & validate related data, and analyze the should cost vs. current price gap to identify continuous cost improvement opportunities.
  • Work with related should cost champion to quarterly evaluate and validate should cost with the CSM. Report should cost related KPIs including saving opportunities, should cost coverage/adherence rate etc.
  • Continuously work with CSM & SMAI team to apply process improvement & automation for should cost related activities.
  • Support Design for Cost efforts between Sourcing, Engineering and Business units.

Requirements:

  • Familiar with product cost analysis including identifying the cost structure, investigating the cost elements, and continuously exploring cost improvement opportunities.
  • Deep knowledge of the related commodities' operation processes, raw material prices, and market situations.
  • Proficient oral & written English is a must.
  • Experience with the McKinsey Cleansheet system or similar cost analysis system is a plus.
