**Duties & Responsibilities:

Oversees and directs the day to day operation of the Housekeeping Department and assist in the forward planning of the department within the established resort policies and procedures.

1. Supervises and monitors the day to day operation of Housekeeping Department.

 Arrange and plan the manpower needed for daily operation of Housekeeping Department.

 Direct assigns the planned assignment to Housekeeping Supervisor and Housekeeping Staff.

 Monitors the performance of Housekeeping Supervisors and Housekeeping Attendant to ensure the assigned jobs are done properly and timely.

 Schedule the routine inspection by Housekeeping Supervisor for the cleanliness of housekeeping area.

 Random inspects the work done by Housekeeping Supervisor and Housekeeping Staff.

 Ensure the housekeeping activities performed by Housekeeping Supervisor and Housekeeping Staff are meeting ISO Quality Standard.

 Coordinate and communicate with respective departments on cleanliness process and schedule, maintenance and repair works.

 Assist Executive Housekeeper in supervising the outsource activities and ensure compliance and meeting the standard required.

2. Assist Executive Housekeeper in staff management and development.

 Assist Executive Housekeeper in hiring, performance appraisal and counseling.

 Establish and maintain employee relations and resolve grievances and problems amongst the staff.

 Assist Executive Housekeeper in identifying training needs, execute training plan and activities for Housekeeping Department and provide on job training to new employee.

 Maintaining appropriates standard of disciplinary conduct, dress code, hygiene, uniforms and appearance of the staff.

3. Control the movement of all keys secured by Housekeeping Department.

 Control and monitor the movement of the keys records secured by Housekeeping Department.

 Distribute the keys to housekeeping staff for their daily duty purpose.

4. Assist Executive Housekeeper in managing and controlling the housekeeping inventory.

 Performs monthly housekeeping inventory inspection.

 Ensure the storage areas for Housekeeping Department are secure.

5. Handling of staff’s or guest’s complaint and request.

 Investigate and handle guest’s complaint and carry out corrective action.

 Communicate and handle guests request such as cleanliness, laundry and other housekeeping matters.

 Investigate and handle housekeeping staff’s complaint and carry out corrective action.

6. Others

 Monitor and keep track on lost and found log book and ensure the items kept are secured.

 Maintain and ensure housekeeping daily activity records either log book, forms etc. are verified by respective personnel and kept in proper filling.

 Maintain and ensure movement of housekeeping equipments and items are recorded and properly secure once it is being use and return.

 Follow up the progress of agenda items during the department meeting.

 Perform other duties as and when required by the Management.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,700.00 per month
