**Job description**

**PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY**

1. Shall be the Safety & Health Officer for YCH (all sites in Selangor).

2. Shall be responsible for all matters related to environment (legal, certification & customer requirement)

3. Shall plan, develop, implement and maintain Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) activities/ programs, policies and procedures.

4. Shall be responsible for all matters related to EHS and implement activities in the company to comply with related law, regulations & guidelines from authorities, standards from certification bodies and requirements from customers.

5. Shall plan, establish, communicate and conduct safety training - internal & external

6. Shall plan and execute yearly Safety & Health Day.

7. Shall plan and execute yearly Fire Drill.

8. Shall maintain the EHS Legal Register

9. Shall be authorized to advice top management of YCH or any person in charge of a YCH workplace on the measures to be taken in the interests of the safety and health of the persons employed by YCH as per the law.

10. Shall perform workplace inspection to determine whether any machinery, plant, equipment substance, appliance or process or any description of manual labor used in the place of work, is of such nature liable to cause bodily injury to any person working in the place of work.

11. Shall perform workplace inspection and support internal/ external audits by various parties such as customer, authorities, certification bodies and follow-up efforts or any relevant projects as required by management.

12. Shall investigate and report any incidents (accidents and near misses), dangerous occurrences, occupational poisoning or occupational disease, safety violations and EHS complaints which occurs at workplace.

13. Shall be the Secretary of Environmental, Health and Safety Committee and assist the committee in organizing and implementing EHS programs at the workplace

14. Shall collect, analyze and maintain statistic all incidents (accident & near misses), dangerous occurrences, occupational poisoning and diseases which have occurred at the workplace.

15. Shall identify potential risk and recommend practical and cost-effective solution to Top Management.

16. Shall carry out risk assessment and hazard control to reduce hazards at workplace and prevent possibility of future occurrence of incidents.

17. Shall work closely with support team and ensure compliance with related local statutory bodies (DOSH, NIOSH, BOMBA etc.)

18. Shall implement all directions from YCH Corp EHS on matters related to EHS.

19. Shall prepare Monthly EHS Report and Statistics report and submit on time to YCH Corp EHS.

20. Shall be involved in all audits (other than safety) - by authorities, certification bodies and customer.

21. Shall be member of the Food Safety Team Committee for extended coverage for health & hygiene.

22. As and when required, shall be included as an Internal Auditor to understand standards & customer requirements which may link to safety, health & environment.

23. Shall assist QA HOD to implement ISO14001 & ISO45001.

24. Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the superior.

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**
- Fresh graduate in either the below degree:

- Degree in Bachelor of Science (Environmental and Occupational Health) or
- Degree in Bachelor of Occupational Safety and Health Management or
- Degree in Bachelor of Environmental Health
- Able to read, write, understand and communicate in English & Malay
- Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
