**The company**

Our client is a European forwarder, family-owned business with more than 500 years market presence, supported by over 7000 employees in 150 offices and network globally. They provide integrated solutions including airfreight, seafreight, land transport, warehousing and industry solutions.

The objective of this role is to generate revenue and increase the profitability of the organisation, to build and strengthen relationship with customers for long term business sustainability.

**The Business Development Manager will be responsible**:

- Maintain customer relationships and bringing them to a close
- Provide consultative approach to understand needs of our client base, discovering customer needs
- Work with the Country Sales Manager/teammates and adhere to the company global sales process
- Work to develop unique solutions to our prospective and/or existing client base
- Maintain a strong pipeline of new customers and measurement of progress
- Grasp industry trends in Trade, Regulatory and Market Intelligence information and communicate to customers
- Assist branch to implement accounts based on pre-determined SOP’s and requirements
- Adhere to the usage of internal technology tool
- Maintain a commitment to the company’s values and business code of ethics
- Be the brand ambassador for the company in the country
- Close co-operation with local operations / customer service / key account manager
- Keep and respect compliance rules, quality standards and time guidelines by GW
- Support customer care and acquisition by efficient data management
- Supporting of campaigns and sales activities
- Focusing on target accounts and defined customers in order to push their development
- Increase customer satisfaction by service excellence

**The requirement**:

- Diploma/Degree in any discipline
- 5+ years of experience in direct sales role preferred
- 5+ years in the logistics/freight industry
- Proven sales track record in business development and account management experience
- Self-motivated and competitive with strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, aggressive, well-organized and hard working
- Able to work under pressure and solve problems independently
- Ability to work with different cultures and personalities
- Strong communication skills in both languages in English
- Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
