The ESG and Strategic Engagement Specialist** **is a critical member of our Sustainability team which is responsible for advancing the Baker Hughes’ environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) strategy and performance.

You will work collaboratively across the business to track progress and report our ESG performance. You will also provide significant analytical support for Carbon Out, our premier employee-led enterprise emissions reduction program, as well as leading investment analytics for our strategic engagements. You will have an eye for detail, a love of data, and a passion for making a difference. You will also thrive in a fast-paced work environment and be able to adapt to changing circumstances, juggle competing priorities, and combine a sense of urgency with due care and attention to detail.

As the Specialist - Sustainability Strategy, you will be responsible for:

- Data collection, management, and analysis for Sustainability (ESG) reporting, including but not limited to: presentations, survey responses, regulatory disclosures, and verifications.
- Lead the financial analytics on strategic engagements, including: forecasting, planning, and reporting membership fees for strategic associations; calculating and reporting return on investment.
- Support the regular reporting cadence for the Carbon Out program, including: weekly report-outs to leadership, delivered project status, and calculator updates.
- Working with the business to develop scalable processes to collect and report on environmental data, including: greenhouse gas emissions, targets, roadmaps and solutions.
- Optimizing internal procedures, particularly in developing and maintaining proper data collection and reporting controls, given systems and reporting framework maturity.
- As requested and as directed from management, address queries for ESG data or other sustainability-related topics
- Maintaining positive, proactive relationships with key stakeholders

Given the changing landscape of global ESG reporting regulations, this role could be expanded to support the company’s compliance with those activities. This could involve multiple aspects of the ESG data collection process including: monitoring, expediting, summarizing, and communicating progress at regular intervals to ensure Baker Hughes meets ESG reporting requirements in various jurisdictions.

To be successful in this role you will:

- Have a bachelor’s degree in science, business, supply chain or related field
- Have experience working with interdisciplinary teams (e.g. Sustainability, Procurement Teams, Business teams, Engineering) and managing relationships/customer service with complex stakeholders
- Have demonstrated flexibility and experience and willingness to learn and work on projects
- Have experience with data management and report preparation
- Be able to advance multiple priorities in parallel and work independently
- Have strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills
- Have high attention to detail
- Be a team player with unquestionable integrity
- Have strong verbal and written communication abilities in English
