As a Project Director for Poratha Corporation Sdn Bhd, you will spearhead the successful delivery of oil and gas projects while ensuring adherence to strong health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards. Your strategic oversight will encompass project governance, stakeholder management, and the implementation of robust reporting processes to enhance project transparency and accountability.

**Responsibilities**:
1. **Strategic Leadership**: Provide strategic direction and leadership to project teams, guiding them towards the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and in accordance with client requirements.

2. **Client Engagement**:* Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships, understanding their needs, and ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded throughout the project lifecycle.

3. **Project Management**:* Oversee all aspects of project management, including planning, scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, and quality assurance, to ensure project objectives are achieved effectively.

4. **Project EHS Management**:* Champion a culture of safety excellence and environmental stewardship, ensuring compliance with all relevant HSE regulations and standards. Implement proactive measures to mitigate risks and minimize environmental impact throughout the project lifecycle.

5. **Financial Oversight**:* Manage project budgets, forecasts, and expenditures effectively, identifying opportunities for cost optimization and implementing measures to enhance project profitability.

6. **Contract Administration**:* Oversee contract negotiations, administration, and compliance, ensuring all contractual obligations are met and that any deviations are addressed in a timely and effective manner.

7. **Stakeholder Management**:* Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including subcontractors, suppliers, regulatory authorities, and other project partners, to foster positive relationships and resolve issues proactively.

8. **Overall Project Delivery Governance**:* Establish and maintain robust project governance frameworks to ensure alignment with organizational objectives, mitigate project risks, and enhance decision-making processes.

9. **Continuous Improvement**:* Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project management framework, identifying opportunities for process optimization, innovation, and efficiency gains.

10. **Enhanced Project Reporting**:* Establish standardized project reporting processes to enhance transparency, visibility, and accountability. Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track project progress, identify deviations, and facilitate timely decision-making.

**Qualifications**:*

1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

2. Minimum of 15-20 years of experience in project management within the oil and gas industry, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.

3. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve common goals and overcome challenges.

4. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with a focus on building rapport and trust with clients and stakeholders at all levels.

5. Thorough understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, including scheduling software, risk assessment, and cost control.

6. Comprehensive knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to the oil and gas sector.

7. PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.

8. Experience working in a multicultural and multidisciplinary environment is advantageous.
