**Primary Objective**:

- Leading product development and innovation leveraging on design thinking process with collaboration from distribution channel and investment team to attract Retail, Institutional, and high-net worth investors
- Develop and advertise customer centric digital platform to enhance customer acquisition
- Provide high standard customer service to RHB AM clients, business partners, and agents.
- Develop and execute campaigns to enhance RHB AM propositions and brand as top service provider in the region
- To adhere to the policies and regulatory requirements to ensure seamless business performance
- Lead a Tribe by overseeing its interfaces with Coe/Service Partners/Groups
- Lead AM Tribe to be the best-in-class asset management partner providing excellence service from product innovation, RHB Asset Management branding advocator, and customer experience

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Strategy and Planning
- Oversee the organization structure, strategy, budget, performance and management for Islamic Asset Management and Unit Trust business for the Group
Business Performance
- Together with the Regional Heads, develop strong teams covering Retail Business, Institutional Business, Operations and Investments in the Islamic space
- Expand Islamic product offering to Retail and Institutional Clients in Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia and GCC
- Cross sell to and from RHB Group
- Together with Group CIO and CIO, develop strong investment team with global coverage for equities & sukuk.
Future Business Development
- Strategize and Develop various products offerings in the Islamic space so as to develop RHB’s Asset management’s Islamic portfolio in both new and existing markets
- Grow capabilities in fund raising from international institutional investors
- Explore new business opportunities to expand Islamic Asset Management in new markets
Key shared accountabilities
- Work closely with regional heads of Retail, Institutional Marketing, Operations, and Investments to source and place Islamic products
- Work closely with regional country heads to place Islamic products
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure tasks are being performed in accordance to internal as well as regulatory guidelines and/or policies.
- Satisfactory audit rating.
Succession Plan
- Coach and groom identified internal potential successor(s), to succeed the role of the
Chief Executive Officer for RHB Islamic International Asset Management Bhd within the direction of the management / Board.
- Requirements

**Requirements**:
Bachelor Degree - Bachelor degree or above in Management, Business Administration or equivalent.
- Appropriate licensing depending on jurisdiction.
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in the financial services industry with significant exposure to asset management related business.
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in leading teams and accountable for the performance and results of the teams.
- Product development, branding, and distribution
- Ability to lead a team effectively
- Able to empower teams & allocate responsibilities
- Well informed on the developments in the relevant domain
- Understanding of relative compliance requirements and processes
- Good problem solving skills
- Good networking and negotiating skills
- Ability to prioritize effectively
- Analytical and makes decisions based on facts
- Ability to communicate with various levels across the organization (i.e., CoE, SP, Tribe members etc.)
