The Lead MI Analyst is responsible for leading and managing a team of MI Analysts in the development and delivery of management information (MI) solutions for the business. The Lead MI Analyst will be responsible for ensuring that MI solutions are aligned with the business strategy, that they are accurate, timely, and relevant, and that they meet the needs of the business users.

The Lead Management Information (MI) Analyst manages the production of high quality standardized reporting to internal stakeholders, in a timely manner, to address current and future business needs. They will also meet any ad hoc reporting requirements of the business / function they support. The role focuses on data analysis for generating reports on periodic basis, investigate the data provided to the platform for the sources, analysis and profiles the data and aligns with the consuming side to map the information.

The role will have to develop and maintain various ways of Data Capture, Data Visualization to uncover areas for improving key focus and problem areas of the region using available tools in the bank.

In this role, the Lead MI Analyst will analyze business information to identify process improvements for increasing business efficiency and effectiveness.

The objectives includes providing stakeholder support and assistance in issue troubleshooting and resolution, and facilitating the implementation of a robust control environment that allows and drives efficient and effective processing. The environment should ensure we meet regulatory requirements, Bank’s policy and can verify the completeness and accuracy of all processes Operations develop and maintain effective relationships across internal client and partner groups.

Your role will include:
1) General:

- Develop and deliver MI solutions that are aligned with the business strategy
- Ensure that MI solutions are accurate, timely, and relevant
- Meet the needs of the business users
- Develop and maintain MI processes and procedures
- Train and develop MI Analysts
- Stay up-to-date with the latest MI technologies and trends
- Lead and manage a team of MI Analysts offshore

2) Data/Information Management and Analysis:

- Perform data analysis for generating reports on periodic basis.
- Investigate the data provided to the platform for the sources, analysis and profiles the data and aligns with the consuming side to map the information.
- Set requirements for data quality, data lineage, data privacy and data issue guidelines and standards and support the setting up of data management and data governance processes.
- Bring the data under governance by ensuring quality and accurate reports are shared to various stakeholders using different bank tools.
- Develop and Maintain various ways of Data Capture, Data Visualisation to uncover areas for improving key focus and problem areas of the region using available tools in the bank
- Understanding how to organize, share, store, search for, and analyse data which is critical to this role
- Collaborate with business data owners to understand their data, their data needs and business context.
- Participate as an active scrum team member working alongside our business and operations users, developers, architects and testers wherever required.

3) MIS Function:

- Generate and distribute management reports in accurate and timely manner.
- Develops MIS documentation to allow for smooth operations and easy artefact maintenance.
- Ensure traceability of data and able deep dive and investigate issues to self-solve or collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Provide recommendations to update current MIS to improve reporting efficiency and consistency.
- Provide strong reporting and analytical information support to management team.
- Generate both periodic and ad hoc reports as needed.
- Design and build Tableau Dashboard for various stakeholders to monitor KYC operations performance.
- Provide periodic or ad hoc support to extract information using SQL in a timely manner.

4) Problem Solving:

- Understand key stakeholder challenges and provide appropriate technical (strategic and tactical where appropriate)solutions.
- Analyse business information to identify process improvements for increasing business efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to resolve recurring issues on data such as capture, reporting, etc.
- Provide stakeholder support and assistance in issue troubleshooting and resolution.

5)People Management:

- The people management responsibilities of a Lead MI Analyst are essential to the success of the department. The Lead MI Analyst will work with the team to set goals and objectives for the department. This will involve setting clear expectations for the team and ensuring that everyone is aligned on the department's priorities.
