Sales Executive

Our client is a leading company and large MNC and provider globally in offering professional services and is recognized as the global benchmark for quality and integrity. They are looking for a SALES EXECUTIVE - SAMPLE MANAGEMENT & DG(Dangerous Goods) CARGO COMPLIANCE to join them in their company.
**Career progression & opportunities**
This role is open to mid-senior to Assistant Manager level. It is a very new position in the company, and there is a lot of room for growth and opportunity to reach the Regional level.
**Main Purpose of Role**
- Prospection and acquisition of new customers
- Development of revenue
- Market monitoring, including competition
- Assist in developing marketing and sales policy, with the global I&E team
- Act as the commercial interface between clients and the client company
- Maintaining customer contacts, identifying needs
- Monitor leads from the account into operations and ensure compliance with defined timelines and quality requirements
- Professional representation of client company to third parties
- You will report to the General Manager for this role
**Key Accountabilities**
- Achieving revenue targets
- Making customer appointments
- Prepare quotations and contracts including pricing in accordance with applicable procedures
- Establishing long-term relationships with customers
- Provide technical logistics support and guidance to existing and new clients, both external and internal, and create sound business relationships
- Provide feedback to business teams and affiliates about local and regional account opportunities
- Be a key contributor in the continuous improvement process of the sales process and organization
- Have a list of target freight forwarders or warehouses in promoting the client company’s services.
- Meet or exceed agreed growth targets by delivering revenue and profit to the affiliates with regards to the assigned segment
- At all times, comply with the client company’s Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.
**Skills & Knowledge**
- Knowledge of Logistics, from the (technical) services point of view and ability to develop quickly a clear understanding of the current client company’s service and capabilities
- Must have knowledge in Dangerous goods(DG) compliance and be able to identify transportation strategies for Dangerous goods(DG)
- General business/ industry awareness with an ability to identify opportunities
- Capacity to develop value creation models based on customer needs understanding (“consultative sales”)
- Must have good communication skills at all levels
- Organised with some project management skills
- Tenacious and target driven
- Problem solver, diplomatic and assertive
- Team player with a real ability to network and collaborate
- Ability to work independently and coordinate several activities simultaneously
**Experience**
- 2 years of successful experience in the assigned service segment, preferably in logistics or technical services
- **Must have Sales experience with chemical or petrochemical industry sales**
- Preferably to have experience in the following companies
- 1. DHL Global Forwarding
2. Bolloré Logistics
3. Kuehne + Nagel Sdn. Bhd.
4. Nippon Express
- Demonstrable track record in sales and commercial development
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in a relevant technical discipline or in commercial/economic matters
- Must - be proficient and have business grade English language communication skills
**Work arrangements**
2. This position will be based in Shah Alam, Selangor.
**Travelling requirements**
Yes, depends on own scheduling to visit clients
