**JOB DESCRIPTION**

JOB TITLE : HOUSEKEEPING ASSISTANT

REPORTS TO : ROOMS SUPERVISOR/ ASSISTANT HOUSEKEEPER

**BASIC FUNCTION**

To provide cleaning service to guest rooms and respond to guest requests ensuring maximum guest satisfaction in accordance to hotel established standards.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**

1. Check and verify room status report.

2. Clean all assigned rooms and designated public area in accordance with the established procedure.

3. Provide turndown service in accordance with the established procedure.

4. Check all lights, sound system in room and report immediately if there are any defects.

5. Ensure that all requests by guests are attended to in a professional manner.

6. Make final room check to ensure everything is in order before leaving room.

7. Responsible for the care and maintenance of his/ her work store, trolley and all equipment and ensure that all equipment and materials are left in the same place and correct manner at the end of each shift.

8. Ensure stock of supplies is adequately maintained and cleaning equipment are in good working condition.

9. Advise the office of any lost property and valuable and return these to the office as soon as possible.

10. Reports any guest complaints, incidents of suspicious persons on the floor to the Team Leader Rooms.

11. Ensures a high standard of cleanliness of corridor and service areas.

12. Maximize recycling opportunities while it is not jeopardizing quality assurance.

**Salary**: RM1,500.00 - RM1,600.00 per month
