Data Governance Specialist

**Primary Objectives**

This role is responsible for maintaining, promoting and contributing to the DPE Data governance framework that covers data practices, policies, and standards both at a technical and functional level. It includes working with the Business stakeholders to solve their data accessibility challenges and promoting the use of data throughout DPE ensuring Data is secure, accurate and adheres to Regulatory Data Compliance. Partner with Cyber Security and Legal teams to drive Data Governance processes / procedures.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure Data Platform adheres to the Regulatory Data Compliance for all DPE markets
- Ensure Data Platform and its data is secured and is accessible by users only
- Ensure PII and sensitive data is accessible by audience only
- Ensure Data Standardisation are up-to-date and adhered by Data Consumer / Practioner
- Ensure metrics and terms definitions are aligned across all DPE markets
- Ensure Central Repository Data Assets for analytical purposes are maintained in high quality
- Manage and maintain the central Data Catalog solution for DPE and ensure Data mappings and definitions are up-to-date and maintained by each responsible department
- Create and maintain documentation as required
- Promote data democratization / literacy through workshops, webinar and training
- Appropriate time sheet logging against project work

**Experience & Skills required**:

- 5+ years’ experience in an appropriate data-related field.
- Bachelor Degree in Information Management and Data Governance
- Demonstrated understanding of data privacy, ethics and governance requirements and awareness of global privacy and data protection regulations
- Experience with data governance technologies and utilities

**Qualification**
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Management and Data Governance or similar (or 5+ years relevant experience).

**Nice to Have**
- Experience or proven understanding of GDPR
- SQL

**Salary**: RM5,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month

**Education**:

- Bachelor's (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Data Governance: 3 years (required)
- SQL: 2 years (preferred)
- GDPR: 1 year (preferred)
- data privacy, ethics and governance: 1 year (preferred)
