BHD. seeks a HARDENED MACHINING EXPERT to help design test our planned upcoming projects with create dependable, hardworking products benefitting our company’s development. - Set up, operate, or tend heating equipment, such as heat-treating furnaces, flame-hardening machines, temper, harden, or heat-treat metal. - Reduce heat when processing is complete in order to allow parts to cool in furnaces or machinery. - Test parts for hardness, using hardness testing equipment, or by examining and feeling samples. - Set and adjust speeds of reels and conveyors for prescribed time cycles in order to pass parts through continuous furnaces. - Ensure the recommended feeds and speeds for the material being machined and develop the machining data sheet for the hardened and special purpose material. - Develop and new cutting tools to enable the smooth machining process. - Adjust controls to maintain temperatures and heating times, using thermal instruments and charts, dials and gauges of furnaces, and colour of stock in furnaces to make setting determinations. - Work with machine supplier to customize the machine parameters to machine the hardened materials.
