**ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES**

An exciting opportunity is available working in the Corporate Finance team for our Korea market as part of APMEA - North Direct Reporting Business Unit (DRBU), this role sits within APMEA NORTH Corporate Finance (CFOM) which are the extended end market team sitting in GBS Centre in Malaysia.

The Controllership Manager owns and handles the controllership activities primarily focus on Korea market (accounting, SOx compliance, and delivery of statutory financials) as well as handling risks and controls to meet key End Market priorities. The role interacts with Corporate Finance Controller to ensure Digital Business Solutions (DBS) strategic objectives of standardization, scalability and consolidation are met.

**WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR**
- Ensure a timely analysis, identification, communication and resolution of balance sheet account reconciliation issues to avoid frauds and potential monetary losses due to an inappropriate accounting practice
- Coordinate the monthly accounting closing process with other DBS sub-functions as well as the end market single point of contact (SPOC) to ensure an accurate disclosure of financial information to relevant stakeholders.
- Support the preparation and delivery On-Time In-Full (OTIF) of the control navigator exercise to avoid any business disruption because of a control breakdown as well as any monetary loss
- Coordinate and support the preparation and delivery of the risk register assessment to anticipate and prevent a business interruption due to an unplanned realization of a mapped risk
- Drive SOx control compliance for the market, and coordinate for overall SOx testing, remediation closure to avoid any control deficiencies which may impact the financial reports.

**ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE**
- Minimum Bachelors degree in Accounting & Finance. Professional accountancy qualification i.e. CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA will be an added advantage.
- At least 7-9 years of progressive experience in a global FMCG/Manufacturing or Corporate Finance environment
- Understand the impact of the accounting processes and practices and any changes in accounting standards
- A detailed understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems, specifically BI/BPC or SAP equivalent
- Able to drive projects and process improvements and handle remote stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English, both orally and in writing
- Meticulous, analytical, proactive, and can work under pressure with minimum supervision
- Knowledgeable in identifying risks and in implementing controls.
