Technical Operations Lead

About the role
- Assume responsibility in ensuring publication content released both online and in print in a timely manner in accordance with budgeted plans at agreed standard of quality and cost; working alongside Editors
- Assure the integrity, quality and currency of the editorial content of publications of assigned products, by conducting/assisting with QA checks and associated editorial procedures
- Carry out and/or supervise benchmarks and quality assurance tracking
- Carry out and/or supervise annual vendor spent, managing spent within budget and project spent for following year
- Delivery of monthly spent report, develop metrics reports/or assist the editorial department with data analytics reports
- Carry out and/or supervise content database (ECJ) and/or database servers maintenance cycle.
- Support the Content Project Manager in new project development proposals and implementation
- Effective communication with external stakeholders (vendors, contributors, etc ) and internal stakeholders is key to the role.
**Responsibilities**:
- Liaise with Editorial team to ensure quality, currency, timeliness and productivity. Assist other team members as required.
- Adhere to the publishing schedule for all formats; implement agreed plans for product enhancements. Work within set commercial parameters. Report accurately and regularly on content readiness progress in a timely and organized manner
- Identify potential problems affecting timeliness of delivery and resolving issues quickly and efficiently, escalating where required
- Manage, multi-task and prioritise the day-to-day work on the allocated content.
- Maintain accurate records of content work in neatly organised folders in the sharepoint.
- Carry out post-production tasks in a timely manner, such as archiving financial documents and permissions
- Work with vendors to ensure on-time delivery of content and following up on quality issues and compiling feedback where necessary.
- Liaise with vendors and editorial team members to coordinate book and online publication issues at various production stages in maintaining excellent work relationships between external and internal parties
- Demonstrate the ability to maximise existing networks and relationships to achieve goals
- Work with team, colleagues and customers to develop and implement continuous process improvements to achieve best practice.
- Build effective relationships with colleagues, customers (internal and external) and management to ensure efficient execution of day-to-day operations and strategic plans.
- Demonstrate tact and diplomacy in communication when handling sensitive situations.
- Promptly communicate and provide feedback on content problems, proposed solutions, resource needs, and other information to internal and external parties as necessary
- Collaborate with team to achieve the required objectives and makes recommendations to improve team performance.
- Show good judgement and decision-making skills when faced with a problem, and understand the implications of the decisions made
- Anticipate potential problems and take the appropriate course of action to address them.
- Show confidence in making sound decisions
