JR38933 Accounting Transformation Specialist (COE)

**Accounting Transformation Specialist**

This is a varied and challenging position and ideally would suit a qualified accountant looking for experience of a fast-paced multinational environment. The role is expected to evolve rapidly through streamlining and automating of processes. As an Accounting Transformation Specialist, you will focus on accounting and reporting for International Entities and US Corp Office and lead in project management.

The job scope includes but not limited to:

- Involve and participate in various technical projects to drive technical excellence across various accounting functions;
- Drive projects to improve process consistency and standardization to optimize operational efficiency and effectiveness and to identify opportunities for continuous improvement;
- Perform various shared-service accounting work in accordance with Company policies, US GAAP, IFRS and other local accounting standards;
- Manage various month end and quarter end activities including (but not limited to) international close, corporate accounting tasks and reconciliation of balance sheets accounts;
- Support preparation financial statements, provision of supporting documentation to auditors, tax agents, company secretaries and other stakeholders;
- Liaise with internal and external auditors in fulfilling financial, tax and compliance audits and to ensure compliance with required laws and regulations;- Support multiple managers in temporary accounting assignments; Any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned from time to time;

**Qualifications**:

- BSc / BA Accounting or similar Degree;
- Professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA or equivalent);
- More than 5 years of experience working for a global organization. Process improvement accountant, internal auditor or external auditor experience is an added advantage;
- Flexible in allocation and management of tasks across accounting functions in the shared service center;
- Ability to effectively work across organizations and geographies with tolerance for high ambiguity;
- Results driven and organizational savvy;
- Strong communications skills in liaising with multiple business partners;
- Excellent critical thinking skills and ability to challenge the status quo;
Strong capability in financial systems will be an added advantage, including SAP, Local GAAP & Reporting systems.
