What you’ll do
This position offers a challenging role in a dynamic and supportive team where you will be responsible for the financial reporting for a specific region. You will be responsible for generating financial reports for key stakeholders and ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance with reporting standards. There will be many opportunities to learn and develop with the support and collaboration of the team around you.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, and other financial reports.
- Oversee and manage a team of finance executives that is responsible for preparation and closing of consolidated monthly and annual financial statements.
- Responsible for accounting processes and tasks such as Sales Order, AP & AR processes, GL, account reconciliation, and weekly cash forecast.
- Coordinate and liaise with internal parties to support inter-company activities
- Support forecasting and budgeting exercises as per corporate guidelines
- Coordinate and liaise with external parties such as external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax and government authorities where required
- Accountable for ensuring that all financial filing obligations, including tax filings for GST/WHT/CIT and audits, whether mandated by regulations or internal policies, are met and followed according to the appropriate guidelines.
Professional Qualifications & Experiences
- Minimum Diploma in Accounting, Finance or relevant.
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience.
- Be a qualified or nearly qualified accountant with experience in full set accounts and audit preparation.
- A good understanding of IFRS and financial reporting obligations.
- Well-versed in MS Office (MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and G Suite.
- Hands-on experience with accounting software packages.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to work in a team as well as individually with a minimum of supervision.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Can-do attitude, driven and passionate about work
