Key responsibilities:

- The job holder will have the responsibility to ensure that all supply chain activities and processes work together to supply product or service globally to internal and external customers in the regions.
- The job holder is responsible for the sales, customer service and planning(SCSP) of products for supply to WMM customers.
- Responsible to develop and implement SCSP strategy to maximize efficiencies and best practice in WMM, focusing on goods supply to customers (on-time and in full), which results in working capital reduction. This would include working with procurement teams on materials management, production scheduling, and demand forecasting.
- The job holder is responsible for working with WMM production managers & HOD - operations to identify and establish appropriate links between the two functions to ensure internal and external customer requirements are being met.
- Working closely with manufacturing on projecting material and capacity requirements. Translating the requirements into operational reality.
- The job holder is responsible to manage and develop WMM SCSP team. This may initially include determining resource requirements and structure, with the global operations
- Working closely with other regional supply chain managers to develop sales and operation policies and procedures, to ensure WMM provides superior quality products and services to customers.
- As part of the global supply chain management team, establish key performance indicators to accurately measure the performance of supply chain, and constantly look for opportunities for improvement.
- As part of the WMM management team establish continuous improvement initiatives to ensure global customers receives high quality rubber products, on-time and in full.
- As part of the management team for WMM the job holder is responsible together with the team to actively develop the strategic direction for WMM.
- Create, develop, and communicate a long-term strategy for WMM SCSP together with manufacturing team and set a consistent direction and vision for supply-chain.
- Create a flexible team which can respond quickly to the changing market place and customer needs.
- Build a climate within the facility to foster continuous improvement culture.
- Seek to improve team effectiveness by sharing information, encourage participation, building commitment to common goals and motivating team members.
- Communicate the importance of change and challenge the status quo.
- Create a climate that rewards innovation and calculated risk taking
- Knowledge/ Experience/ Skills Required
- Demonstrate achievement in the supply chain field, demand management and materials management.
- Experience in establishing supply chain best practices including JIT, MRP & CRP probably but not exclusively in the FMCG or automotive environment.
- Experience in demand forecasting on continuous manufacturing plant.
- Ability to carry out strategic analysis about complex issues as well as generate and implement practical solutions.
- Graduate, preferably with bachelor degree with minimum eight to ten years’ experience in multinational company
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills, both oral and written.
- Demonstrate leadership and human-management skills
- Experience with developing external contacts
- Demonstrate ability to operate and influence at all levels of organization.
- Cultural awareness and sensitive to the mix of cultures that exist in a global organization.
- Strong analytical skill and able to manage large amount of data and determine critical issues needing attention
- Anticipate future changes (i.e., customer needs, material shortages) and implement proactive strategies
- Possess high internal standards and set ambitious yet attainable goals.
