Assist in material planning, scheduling and purchasing, as well as stock shipping and receiving functions of the organisation. Maintain supply and delivery schedules. Perform proper recording, storage and tracking of all items purchased for accurate inventory. Identify primary and alternate sources for each item needed and encourage suppliers to remain competitive to achieve best value. Negotiate terms with suppliers, vendors and freight forwarders to obtain necessary materials and products in timely and most cost-effective manner. Monitor supplier performance to assess ability to meet quality and delivery requirements. Supervise in-bound freight and carrier functions, ensuring customs regulations compliance.
