**Position**: DFA Intern (Finance & Procurement)

**Department**: Operations

**Location**: Remote with 4 Days /Week in the Office* - Starting March 2024
*KL Office: Lorong Tanjong, Bukit Gasing, 46000 Petaling Jaya, Selangor

**Employment**: 2-Months Probation + 4-Months Internship

**Duration**: Full-Time, 5 Days /Week, from 9AM-6PM, for 6 Months

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field is not necessary, but desired
- Past experience in finance, project management or procurement roles within student groups or organisations is required
- Ability to work remotely and in the field, demonstrating adaptability to different working environments
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with internal stakeholders, external partners, and donors
- Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and building relationships
- Strategic thinking and ability to contribute to organisational-planning and decision-making
- Strong administrative skills with an emphasis on financial, legal and human resource tasks, including documentation, compliance, and record-keeping
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, particularly Google Docs and Google Sheets, for collaboration and document management
- Fluent in both English and Malay, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages

**Responsibilities (Internal Operations)**:

- Financial Administration and Procurement:

- Manage financial and procurement transactions
- Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Compliance and Documentation:

- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Prepare and maintain financial and procurement documentation
- Assist in audits and reviews, as needed
- Internal Reporting and Analysis:

- Prepare financial reports and analysis for internal stakeholders
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvement
- Administrative Support:

- Provide administrative assistance to the Operations Department
- Coordinate meetings, maintain calendars, and manage correspondence
- Assist in organising departmental events or initiatives

**Responsibilities (Project Roles)**:

- Project Financial Management:

- Assist in managing project budgets and expenditures
- Track project expenses and ensure funds are allocated appropriately
- Prepare financial reports for project stakeholders
- Procurement Support:

- Assist in procurement activities for project-related goods and services
- Conduct market research and vendor evaluations
- Ensure timely delivery of goods and services within project timelines
- Grant Management Assistance:

- Support the preparation of grant proposals and reports
- Assist in monitoring grant funds and compliance requirements
- Coordinate with project teams to fulfil grant deliverables
- Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Provide financial and procurement support to projects

**Compensation**:

- 2-Months Probation: RM500
- 4-Months Internship: RM1,000 /Month + Allowances for Field Work

**Grow With Us**: After completing their 6-months, successful applicants will have the option to extend their employment.
