Procurement Contract Manager

**Summary of client**:
Our client is a multinational technology and engineering group in the aerospace, smart city, defence and public security sectors.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Work closely with the project teams on**:
**Contract administration in projects**
- Prepare tenders and contracts for clients and commercial bids.
- Producing plans and estimating budgets and timescales.
- Liaising with technical and financial staff, sub-contractors, legal teams and the client’s representatives to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company.
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
- Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements.
- Control spending and build a culture of long-term savings on procurement costs.
**Contractual correspondence in projects**
- Acting as the main point of contact for clients, site and project managers for matters concerning contracts.
- Discussing, drafting, reviewing and negotiating terms of business contracts.
- Communicate and present information to stakeholders about all contract-related matters.
- Managing construction schedules and budgets.
- Attending site meetings to monitor progress.
- Working with third parties to ensure that everyone understands their roles and responsibilities.
- Making sure construction projects meet agreed technical standards.
**Resolution of contractual claims in projects**
- Solve any contract-related problems that may arise with other parties and internally with the company itself.
- Dealing with any unexpected costs.
**Closure of contracts and final accounts**
- Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services.
- Finalise purchase details of orders and deliverables.
- Overseeing invoicing at the end of a project.
- Monitor contracts and move forward with close-out, extension or renewal according to what’s best for the company.
**Job Requirements**:
- Degree in Law or Engineering or Quantity Surveying, with practice within the construction industry.
- At least 10 years of experience in procurement & contract administration.
- Experience in managing supply chains.
- Substantial experience with construction disputes and claims.
- Added advantage for applicants with experience in E&M projects.
- Team player and good communication skills with project teams and suppliers.
**Other Information**:
- Remuneration package and accommodation: To be discussed with the company.
- Working hours: TBD
- Working arrangements: Onsite
- 12 months contract: renew annually (depending on the project’s progress)
- Applicants must be willing to relocate to Qatar.
