**The Opportunity**:
The role exists in the cluster Strategy & Change Delivery team of Equities (including Derivatives), Global Debt Markets (GDM) and Securities Financing.

The person will be required to work very closely with the relevant Trading and Operational hub teams and understand the relevant business processes, in order to contribute to the success of the strategic programme.

The person will also be required to work closely with various Technology teams across the globe and other stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of our Equities (including Derivatives), GDM and Securities Financing’s book of work.

**What you’ll do**:
**Impact on the Business**:

- Responsible for end to end project delivery covering initiatives within the large scale regulatory project through to small process improvements.
- Management of the Equities (including Derivatives), GDM and Securities Financing Change projects across multiple sites.
- Manage schedules, identify and track dependencies/ interdependencies, manage and escalate issues and risks as appropriate.
- Assess and understand the implication of any change to the BAU team and downstream process in terms of technological/infrastructure demand, resources demand, skillset demand, workflow restructuring, and roles redefinitions.
- Co-ordinate and manage key testing phases for Operations e.g. UAT, ensuring training is conducted and the agreed Operating model is successfully delivered.
- Review, and be responsible for the overall delivery and output of the team
Typical KPIs and Targets:

- Ensure all delivery is within agreed timeframes and delivery schedules set by Project Steering Committee’s or key stakeholders
- Ensure business benefits are identified and tracked through to realization
- Ensure appropriate governance and regular communication / status updated are provided to key stakeholders and management
- Ensure the team produces high quality, accurate and timely deliverables to the business stakeholders.
- Ensure local sites management are informed and their expectations are managed.

**Active engagement with Customers / Stakeholders**:

- Ensure clear and accurate communication is conducted between the Global programme and the local sites
- Ensure appropriate escalation of key issues and risks to local / regional management, and to the Global programme.
- To be the key face off for Operations for any key Equities (including Derivatives), GDM and Securities Financing Operations Change Delivery programme
- Typical KPIs and Targets:

- Clear, accurate and timely advice provided to the line managers of Equities (including Derivatives), GDM and Securities Financing Operations and Project Stakeholders and global team.
- Effectively communicate business reviews and gains stakeholder approval for recommendations and change
- Ensure quality deliverable are produced, that meet the expectation of the stakeholders.

**Leadership & Teamwork**:

- Foster positive working relationship with project stakeholders.
- Manage BAU project resources efficiently to meet the operations commitments
- Typical KPIs and Targets:

- Clear communication between the Global programmes and local teams.
- Positive and constructive interactions with the business, the production managers, supporting functions counterparts and the project management teams
- Exhibit excellent teamwork and co-operative behaviour in pursue win-win solutions.

- Ensure tasks assigned are prioritized properly and tasks are being carried out in the most efficient manner.

- Awareness of the factors which might lead to financial loss and those mitigating controls to prevent such losses.
- Awareness of the Operational Risk scenario associated with the role and acts in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations.

**Observation of Internal Controls**:

- Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
