Procurement Assistant

Job Descriptions:
- Assist in purchasing, planning, contracting and maintaining governance to ensure timely and cost effective delivery of global shipping services, within the assigned area of operation and in accordance with established processes, contributing to the effective delivery of WHO commodities to beneficiaries worldwide
- Follow - up on all outstanding deliveries, ensuring compliance with national import/export requirements
- Plan and consolidate pipelines, manage freight order, manage operations and delivery, quality control document accuracy and readiness throughout;
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the assigned area of operation, monitor air and containerized freight markets and trends, collect and analyze data through market analysis, research and recommend actions to improve shipping performance
- Assist in providing technical support and guidance to other divisions and Country Offices;
- Participate in the on-going review of internal process and procedures and propose improvements to increase day-to-day efficiency;
- Ensure compliance with WHO administrative and reporting processes;
- Perform other duties as required
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in the area of procurement/shipping and/or administration with completion of secondary school or;
- 4 years with a relevant first level University Degree or;
- 3 years with a relevant Advanced University Degree or;
- Ability to handle and priorities high volume of workloads, transactions and reporting needs
- Meticulous and detail-oriented
- Proficiency in the using MS Office and ERP web-based system
- Knowledge on the best practices for procurement or certified training in procurement area will be an added advantage
**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 7 months
**Salary**: RM3,500.00 - RM3,520.00 per month
