**Brief Job Summary**
- Provide a wide range of technical support services including budget preparation and control, accounting and financial procedures and providing financial advice.
- Manage timely and accurate finance management information for the consolidated account, budget and forecast of Microlink Group.
- Manage key reconciliations and coordinate statutory accounts preparation and audit.
- Encourage efficiency of finance operations enabled by digitization of processes.
- Responsible for the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Group’s Finance and Accounts Department, adding value to the Management’s decision-making process.
- Effective people management towards achieving Department, Company, and Group’s objectives.
**1. Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities**:
**A. Finance, Accounting & Tax**
- **i. Budgeting and Forecasting**_
- Analyze and compile forecast expenses, production and sales.
- Prepare, maintain and review annual Group budgets including commentaries
- Manage input of budget/forecast data into the accounting system and reconcile.
- Review and maintain company rolling forecasts.
- **ii. Accounts Payable & Receivables**_
- Supervise the preparation of payments and ensure proper documentation and procedures.
- Review and improve the internal controls of the payment system.
- Ensure proper debtors aging review and collection procedures in place.
- **iii. General Ledger and Consolidation**_
- Take ownership of Group and Company budget and forecasts.
- Review and improve on the overall General Ledger and closing operations.
- Review monthly company and group P & L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow.
- Guide team in liaising with company auditors on year-end auditing and other financial, taxation and investment matters.
- **iv. Costing**_
- Review and improve on the project costing procedures and systems to assist in company decision making
- Improve on accuracy of project costing and analyze impact of proposed changes
- Propose cost controlling and measurement initiatives.
- **v. Taxation**_
- Maintenance of various expense and accounting schedule for taxation computations.
- Assist the Financial Controller/Group CFO in company and group tax planning.
**B. Internal Controls**
- Involved with various internal audit controls already in place and to be implemented in the future in order that there are adequate check and balance in place primarily to safeguard all company’s assets and thereby preserving shareholders’ value.
**C. Administration & Personnel**
- Participate in reviewing company insurance and certain HR matters.
- Liaising with the company secretary on all company’s corporate matters.
- Managing the day-to-day operation of the accounting/finance department including the training of staff and reviewing performance.
**D. Investment feasibility analysis and corporate financing**
- Assisting Financial Controller/Group CFO in performing capital investments analysis.
- Perform any such comparable duties as may be required by Senior Management.
**2. Skills and competency required**:
- High degree of integrity and results oriented.
- Knowledge and awareness of current Malaysian accounting standards and MASB developments
- High sense of ownership of process methodology and responsibility towards outcome of existing procedures.
- Meticulous, resourceful, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a positive team player that is versatile, adaptable, inquisitive and flexible to the environment.
- Possess firm, decisive, and mature personality, committed to meet professional standards per deadlines.
- Work independently with minimum supervision and possess strong analytical skill.
- Well versed in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin.
- Working knowledge of budgeting and forecasting systems would be a strong advantage.
**Minimum qualifications and experience requirements**:
- Degree in Accounting or Professional accounting qualification with MICPA, CIMA or ACCA or equivalent from recognized institutions
- At least 6 years of working experience in the accounting, finance or audit of a service provider company.
- Able to handle full set of accounts and projects costing with hands on experience.
- Experience in administration and personnel/employment matters would be an advantage.
**Salary**: Up to RM8,000.00 per month
