**Job overview**:
The Housekeeping Assistant Manager/Manager is responsible for ensuring that the housekeeping department runs efficiently and meets the standards of cleanliness and hygiene required by the establishment. They are responsible for supervising the housekeeping staff, managing budget, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring the quest rooms, public area, and back-of-house areas are kept clean and well-maintained.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Supervise the housekeeping staff, including scheduling, training, and coaching to ensure high-quality standards are met.
- Manage housekeeping budgets and inventory, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Coordinate with other departments, including front office and maintenance, to ensure timely and efficient cleaning of guest rooms and public areas.
- Inspect quest rooms and public areas regularly to ensure cleanliness and compliance with established standards.
- Manage and respond to guest requests and complaints related to housekeeping services.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
- Assist in the development and implementation of housekeeping policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates and provide training on new procedures.
- Conduct performance evaluations and recommend disciplinary action if necessary.
- Maintain records and prepare reports related to housekeeping activities.

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in housekeeping management, preferably in a hotel or resort environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and standards.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

**Physical Demands**:
The Housekeeping Assistant Manager/Manager position requires standing and walking for extended periods and performing repetitive motions such as bending and kneeling. The job may also involve exposure to cleaning chemicals and unpleasant odors.

Pay: RM3,800.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
