Solar Director

As a Solar Director, you will play a critical role in driving the growth and success of the company's solar energy initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. This includes strategic planning, project development, implementation, and operational management.
**Responsibilities**:
- **Strategic Planning**: Develop and execute strategic plans for solar energy projects, including identifying opportunities for expansion and growth in the solar market.
- **Project Development**: Lead the development of solar energy projects from inception to completion, including site selection, permitting, interconnection, and financing.
- **Team Leadership**: Provide leadership and guidance to the solar energy team, including project managers, engineers, and support staff. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the team.
- **Stakeholder Management**: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, regulatory bodies, utility companies, suppliers, contractors, and community members.
- **Financial Management**: Oversee the financial aspects of solar energy projects, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- **Quality Assurance**: Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of safety, performance, and reliability in solar energy systems.
- **Regulatory Compliance**: Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to solar energy development and operations. Ensure compliance with all applicable requirements.
- **Risk Management**: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with solar energy projects and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project outcomes.
- **Market Research**: Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, technologies, and opportunities in the solar energy industry. Use insights to inform strategic decision-making.
- **Reporting and Analysis**: Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, board of directors, and other stakeholders. Provide analysis and recommendations on the performance and progress of solar energy projects.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, renewable energy, business administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the solar energy industry, with a proven track record of successful project development and management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of solar energy technologies, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Professional certifications in project management, solar energy, or related areas are a plus.
Pay: From RM30,000.00 per month
