**Position Title**:

- Lead, Ground Handling Mandatory Training

**Reports To**:

- Instructional Services Manager

**Role Purpose**:

- As the Lead, Ground Handling Mandatory Training, you will play a pivotal role in formulating, implementing, and enforcing effective training strategies that uphold the highest standards of safety and security, in full compliance with regulatory requirements. In this leadership position, you will be tasked with overseeing and managing the department, with key responsibilities including:

- Monitoring, reviewing, and conducting courses, along with essential examinations and certifications.
- Managing, reviewing, and developing training materials aligned with the approved training program.
- Ensuring all programs, records, and processes strictly adhere to regulatory guidelines.
- Setting, managing, and achieving revenue targets for the department.
- Establishing and managing the yearly budget and annual business plan.
- Acting as a liaison with the Civil Aviation Authority Malaysia and other relevant business units when necessary.

Key Accountability
- Lead and manage the department, ensuring effective team coordination.
- Attain and maintain qualification as a CAAM certified trainer.
- Monitor departmental compliance with international and national organizations, such as ICAO, CAAM, and IATA.
- Manage, review, and prepare regulatory approvals for training programs.
- Oversee and conduct courses, examinations, and certifications in line with approved training programs.
- Develop and update training materials to align with current regulations and approved training programs.
- Ensure meticulous documentation and maintenance of training records for regulatory requirements.
- Timely review and update of department/training manuals.
- Stay current with rules, regulations, and policies for safe aircraft operations, ensuring personnel conformity to regulatory requirements.
- Monitor personnel training in regulatory policies, procedures, and other developmental programs.
- Liaise with Civil Aviation Authority Malaysia and other relevant business units as needed.
- Coordinate and perform duties assigned by the Head of Training and department management.
- Oversee and actively participate in continuous improvement projects and other assignments.
- Ensure prompt action on class evaluations/customer feedback by instructors.
- Prepare training reports as required and upon request.

**Qualification & Experience**:

- Possess a Diploma or is equivalent or higher academic qualifications, or

**Special/Professional Certificate**:

- IATA Professional Skills for Ground Handling
- Hold a valid Train the Trainer Certificate

**Years of Experience**:

- Must have at least five (5) years working knowledge and experience in ground handling, dangerous goods and safety operations or experience in cargo operations, including dangerous goods handling and acceptance.
