**Job Function**: Buyer/Merchandiser

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- In consultation with the Category Cluster Leader, you determine, based on supplier QLTC performance, where which purchase volumes will be placed.
- Ensuring proper coordination with internal customers about desired results and making clear agreements about tasks and responsibilities.
- Participate in projects (NPI, Prototyping) as purchasing representative and contribute to the timely delivery of the project in accordance with the project objectives.
- Tracking supplier performance in accordance with contractual objectives. Timely escalation to the Category Cluster Leader in case of deviations in supplier performance.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with strategic/preferred suppliers, negotiate with and establish back-to-back supply/logistics agreement, and mitigate incumbent supplier contractual risks.
- Hands-on support of the Junior Buyer if necessary.
- Optimal use and design of the purchasing functionality of the system.
- Responsible for implementation of appropriate stock strategies within the commodity including parameter management within the system.
- Periodic reporting of stock positions in the commodity. Determining corrective actions in consultation with the Category Cluster Leader if stocks do not develop in accordance with target.
- Substitute for the Category Cluster Leader during illness, leave, etc.
- ** Requirement**:

- Education Background : Completed college/university degree in related field or logistics training
- Experience : At least 5 years of experience as a buyer in a technical production environment & manufacturing industry
- Require Skill:

- Experience with MRP systems and project planning (MS-Project).
- Extensive command of Excel / MS Access.
- Knowledge of and experience with Purchasing and Supply Chain processes.
- Business travel may be required occasionally (Europe country)
- ** Other Language**: English
- ** Benefit**:

- Fixed Allowances RM430 - 530
