Operations & Facilities Coordinator

St Joseph’s Institution International School Malaysia (SJIIM) is a Lasallian International School (3 to 18 years). We teach the UK National Curriculum, with the exception of Singapore maths. The International Primary Curriculum (IPC) is used as a vehicle for teaching cross-curricular units. The school has an emphasis upon research-based teaching pedagogy and a character-programme, based on the Virtues Project and inspired by the school’s Lasallian heritage.

**Responsibility**:
- Responsible for the effective operations of facilities and upkeep maintenance of site and premise
- Responsible for efficient planning and organisation of events and activities
- Overseeing and managing outsourced service providers to meet performance standards
- Recommend and implement best practices to maximise safety of premise and community
- Liaising and follow up with local authorities for annual renewal of statutory licences
- Ensuring all safety regulations are complied
- Initiate regular maintenance schedule for facilities
- Work with school community for planning and execution for use of facilities
- Obtaining best price quotes for upkeep and maintenance and upgrades wherever required
- Renewing of premise licences as required
- Ensuring timely and prompt service of equipment
- Ensuring prompt repairs and service of equipment and fittings
- Ensuring quality standards and health and safety regulations
- Ensuring that service contracts are in order and ensuring prompt appointment and renewal where required
- Any other reasonable duties as required
**Job Requirements**:
- Relevant qualifications in building and facilities management
- Experience in organising events and activities
- Experience in building and facilities upkeep, repairs and upgrade
- Able to manage and work as a team
- Good communication skills
