**Generally**

Supervises a team of room attendants who clean rooms, halls and public areas in the hotel. Through good communication and coaching, the Supervisor raises the productivity and professionalism of the staff to assist in maintaining the reputation of the hotel for cleanliness and guest service.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Conducts shift briefing daily
- Attend the daily morning meeting conducted by Assistant Housekeeper, Assistant Executive Housekeeper or Executive Housekeeper
- Follow up special assignment and feed back
- Inspects check-out rooms after cleaning and releases for sale
- Keep linen closets neat, clean and stacked properly
- Maintains cleanliness and neatness in the front and back of the house
- Supervises, train all attendants
- Inspects and touch up all VIP arrival rooms latest by 1500 hours
- Supervises proper care and use of equipment, carts, baskets as well as cleaning and guestrooms supplies
- Offers all possible assistance to guest
- Reports immediately any rooms/public area that needs maintenance repair before releasing for sale and follow up after repaired
- Room cleaning if necessary and standby office co-ordinator as and when required
- To clear lost and found, procedures to be followed
- Monthly updating and follow up of individual special assignment to Assistant Housekeeper
- Updating rooms status in Opera System before closing individual shift
- Preparing shift assignment (Morning /afternoon and special assignment
- Responsible for proper procedures and standards for room cleaning

**SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY**:

- Responsible for pantries and staff toilets and lift landing cleanliness
- All necessary inventories assigned by Assistant Housekeeper
- Cost control
- To enforce proper rules and regulation within the department
- Any other duties or assignment assigned by your superior as and when required
- Directly supervises staff in the housekeeping department-rooms
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the hotel’s policies and applicable laws
- Responsibilities include training, planning assigning and directing work, addressing complaints and solving problems
- Good responsibilities and good leadership skills

**EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE**
- Minimum SPM level
- Supervisory course or training
- 2 years experience as a room attendant

**MEASURES OF GOOD PERFORMANCE**
- Complete assignment up to standard and on schedule
- Minimum complaints
- Good relationship with other operating department
- Special projects completed as assigned (date-line)
- Demonstrate improvement in interpersonal communication skills
- Productivity level
- Conduct and behaviour and attendance
- Able to give instruction to staff

**LANGUAGE SKILLS**
- Able to communicate in English to the level of being able to read and comprehend instruction, short correspondence and memos.

Able to present oneself with small groups for internal discussion

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
