**Job Summary**

The responsibilities and duties of the Network Insights Analyst Senior Specialist are to identify, pursue and deliver opportunities to improve network cost, customer experience and forecast accuracy by drawing extensively on data and analytics techniques. The senior specialist will work with domain-technology experts in the Technology Development function. In addition to the ‘internal’ CTSO program, the senior specialist has a role as the advocate and lead point of contact (ie. Spoke) for the Analytics and AI Centre of Excellence function (ie. Hub). The role blends data and analytics, focus on customer experience, commercial acumen and coordination with network technology specialists to deliver improvements in strategic network customer experience and network cost.

**Responsibilities**:
Support the Head of Network Insight and Forecasting in identifying risks and opportunities based on expanding use of data, statistical and analytical techniques. Be a champion for a deeply data-driven approach to network planning and strategy

As a member of a high performance cross-functional team:

- Be the Team Champion for values and behaviours related to Seeking Insights in Data for all business areas; for ‘Double Confirmation’ on business decisions; for process standardisation and automation enabled by Statistical or Machine Learning tools; for characterising the Customer Experience mathematically.
- Understand the key parameters which drive cost, customer experience, customer satisfaction and benefit modelling of technology and network scenarios as well as major network-enabled product types.
- Teaming with technology experts to develop analytical models of network physicals, customer experience and key analytical features which drive costs and customer perception.
- Data sourcing, engineering and analysis to investigate network performance, optimise Planning Rules, and support estimation of costs, revenues and consequences of technology, sharing and other network options.
- Advanced Statistical and Analytics techniques to identify risks and opportunities and develop extrapolation approaches to support forecasting.
- Identification of new opportunities for use of data & analytics techniques for network performance improvement and strategic decisions.

The role will work closely with the more technology-centric Technology Development team, Forecasting / financial modelling specialists, and the Advanced Analytics / AI specialists in the AI Centre of Excellence (within IT).

**Requirements**:
Bachelors Degree in a relevant field eg. Mathematics or Engineering.

At least 8 years with:

- substantial experience in data, analytics and statistical techniques including particularly the framing of business questions; experience in or directly relevant to the network technologies for telecommunications operators.

A majority of:

- Application of analytics and statistics to driving major business forecasts and decisions.
- Investigation to identify ‘insights’ - predictive features, characteristics etc - through use of analytics to address business challenges.
- Framing of network and business questions in AI/ML & Analytics terms.
- Data engineering, ie. sourcing and processing data in preparation for more advanced analytical stages.
- Telecommunications technology or business planning and optionally also strategy or operations

Ideally, but not required:

- AI/ML model feature decisioning & output/decision interpretation, with strong ability to design & improve decisioning processes towards Network Intelligence Ambitions
- Strong SQL / Python / R programming capability to wrangle data
- Good cloud fundamentals in running visualizations & database exploratory queries for experimentation and analytics study
- Intra-company networking and building consensus on change programs
- Good communication skills in English both written and oral.

**Salary**: RM15,000.00 - RM20,000.00 per month
