Lead Sales Development Representative

**Location/Division Specific Information**
Our Materials and Structural Analysis business helps customers drive ground breaking research and discoveries by delivering innovative microscopy, spectroscopy, and microanalysis solutions, such as outstanding scanning and transmission electron microscopes, DualBeam FIB-SEMs, and spectrometers, combined with workflow software suites. We span across the business areas of spectroscopy, visualization software, semiconductor, life sciences, and material sciences, as well as global support functions like commercial sales, service, operations, research and development and marketing.
**How will you make an impact?**:
As a Lead Sales Development Representative, you will support the growth of the Electron Microscopy business within the MSD Division, by driving market shares through lead generation and qualification. Intellectual curiosity and intensity will provide the opportunity to grow within team, both regionally and globally, as well as across the Thermo Fisher organization.
**What you will do**:
- Prospect for new leads in new and/or existing accounts and market segments
- Establish and grow relationships with new customers
- Figure out needs of current and future customers with keen attention to trends
- Qualify and advance leads
- Engage with current customers on new technology and capabilities
- Explain how our solution meets customer needs which will require extensive research with potential and existing customers
- Run specific campaign roll-outs within the team
- Coordinate workshops and site visits targeting new customers
- Analyze market trends, customer requirements, and competitive strategy, and find opportunities for growing customers and business value through product positioning and differentiation
- Work closely with the sales organization to win business by providing outstanding sales strategies & value propositions, especially with high value deals
**How you will get here**
**Education**:
- MS degree in relevant technical or business domain
- Additional MBA/other financial degree preferred
**Experience**:
- Semiconductor segment and market knowledge - you understand our customers'' environment, processes, and challenges. You have shown you can transform this understanding into commercial solution strategies/initiatives (product, workflow, and service).
- Evangelize new customers and guide them to our proposed solutions.
- Identify innovative solutions
- Track record in delivering results and holding self-accountable
- Good level of business insight and commercial excellence
**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**:
- Ability to generate pipeline and business opportunity leads
- Ability to sell strategic and new products to existing and new customers
- Ability to increase our market share by generating new business leads
- Ability to synthesize and integrate customer insights, draw conclusions/implications, and translate information into product requirements, portfolio strategies, and business recommendations.
- An authentic leader that holds self and others accountable
- Meeting or exceeding bookings targets
- Work remotely, to flexible patterns, and with the ability to travel up to 50%
