We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of **Associate Director - Account Management.**

**Role Purpose**:
The key purpose of the role will be to ensure that we implement an effective account management structure and strategy that recognises and adapts to changing client requirements as automation and digitisation reduce reliance on operational interaction day to day, and clients seek to extract additional, long-term value from their service providers.

Managing relationships with clients and other stakeholders throughout the industry will also be key to the success of the role and will necessitate that client and industry events are planned and attended appropriately and that client feedback and key management reporting is effectively produced and utilised.

In summary, the Associate Director - Account Management will be responsible for the on-going leadership of a best-in-class account management team that successfully manages and oversees the client experience from implementation through to future growth. Working closely with the relevant Country and Asian stakeholders the ability to effectively execute change, manage stakeholders and help define the strategic direction of the department will be core requirements to success.

**Principal Responsibilities**:

- On-going leadership of the team and implementation of people-specific development targets.
- Forge deep relationships with C-Suite for select number of clients, acting as senior escalation point.
- Work in tandem with product management, MSS operations and client management to ensure high levels of client satisfaction to support a reference-able client base.
- Establish an agreed governance framework in country and in conjunction with other Asian locations to support strong senior client engagement and oversight.
- Working alongside SSV business partners, ensure full understanding, compliance and development of internal controls and procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience of client management, business implementation/change, business development and/or senior operational leadership experience.
- Proven ability to manage, lead and develop a team with clear and tangible results.
- Client facing with excellent communication and presentation skills, including an ability to lead and manage executive-level meetings.
- Track record of building, maintaining, and developing tangible, senior client and internal relationships.
- Detailed understanding of commercial and contractual drivers and contribution to AOP and business performance as well as HSBC and SSV strategy.
- Proven ability to adapt to the changing demands of the industry, clients, and internal stakeholders.
- Proven capacity to operate across a complex organisation collaboratively, whilst ensuring that the agreed client/HSBC agenda is effectively managed.
- Demonstrable quality track record as a team-player and mentor with the capacity to positively contribute to the current and future state account management function.
- Fully proficient in understanding the regulations that drive the securities services arena and in particular those that govern client management.
- Detailed understanding of controls, risk management (product and market) and mitigation techniques.
