Assistant Purchasing Manager

**JOB ROLE**
Responsible to assist the Purchasing Manager to purchase all materials to the company’s exact business requirements by collating and analysing order requirements and supplier information and provide administrative support to the Purchasing Team.
**JOB DUTIES**
1. Manages commercial and supplier aspects of product development and sourcing.
2. Works with team members on conducting general market research in various categories as well as research into potential suppliers, product specifications and resources.
3. Conducts supplier analysis, evaluates potential suppliers, and manages the overall supplier qualification process, develops and create sourcing plans, requests for proposal, and other sourcing documents, evaluates and recommends purchasing and sourcing decision to the Management.
4. Manages the sampling and product approval process for the sourcing.
5. Coordinates the development of procurement and materials management policies and procedures.
6. Provides leadership in cost and pricing reviews with the Management and suppliers.
7. Recommends alternative methods for cost reduction. Negotiate agreements and agreement related duties.
8. Identifies and cultivates new business relationships related to product and product development services.
9. Other ad-hoc re-assignment from time to time.
**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**
1. Minimum Diploma / Degree holder
2. At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
4. Strong negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills.
5. Advance knowledge and understanding of purchasing management, methods, practices, concepts, principles, and procedures.
6. Ability to evaluate supplier bids in accordance with establishes criteria, such as specification, price, service and delivery.
7. Ability to established and maintains effective working relationships with supplier and end user.
8. Good attitude and interpersonal skills
9. 2 (two) full time position available, we are looking for food and non food section
10.Applicants must be willing to work in Glenmarie,Shah Alam.
Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM6,500.00 per month
