We are now inviting qualified individuals to join this team in the role of **Structured and Sustainable Finance Manager**.**

**Role Profile**

The Structured and Sustainable Finance Manager role covers Malaysia and is based within Structured Banking, HSBC Building, TRX.

The role of Structured and Sustainable Finance Manager is to assist and/or lead in the origination and manage execution of bespoke lending solutions that support new/existing customers to facilitate corporate transactions with a focus on ESG.

The Structured Banking team will originate financing opportunities and then structure the facilities, oversee the due diligence process, obtain the necessary internal approvals including credit approval and negotiate the legal documentation that enables the arranging of the debt financing to support a corporate investment, acquisition, or refinancing. This is becoming increasingly intertwined with ESG solutions and therefore the role holder will be expected to cover both conventional and sustainable finance.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Supporting event driven corporate and structured transactions across the Bank with a focus on ESG
- Assist in the delivery of the Bank’s arranging, underwriting and structuring of loan product with a focus on Sustainable Finance solutions
- Engage frontline to identify and originate business opportunities, and work alongside RMs on client pitches and deal execution
- Managing credit assessment process and detailed cash flow modelling within tight deadlines
- Interpretation and summarisation of detailed due diligence reports
- Generate ESG business insights, market themes and develop sales enablement tools, trainings and materials to support frontline in enriching client conversations.
- Keep abreast of rapidly changing and increasingly complex regulatory environment, and ensure that any changes are promptly implemented
- Participate and support country management in partnership development activities with local government bodies and industry consortiums related to ESG
- Responsible for country deal pipeline and engagement with ASP CMB Sustainable Finance team/ CMB-GB Sustainable Finance Committee on regular basis to ensure endorsements on ESG financing transactions are obtained prior to execution and marketing
Requirements

- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in relevant environment/s, i.e. Structured Banking/Global Banking/Leveraged Finance/Sustainable Finance
- Experience of building effective external networks and developing client relationships based on mutual trust
- A comprehensive understanding of commercial and financial risk environment
- A sound understanding and proven ability to interpret and work with financial data
- Extensive experience of using relevant software packages, i.e. Word, Excel, Powerpoint (financial modelling experience is vital)
- Experience of planning and prioritising their own time effectively, concentrating on key commercial issues, aware of their responsibilities and committed to delivering these efficiently
- Ability to build trusted relationships within a team environment through consistent, high quality, on time delivery of assigned work
- Ability to engage a diverse group of stakeholders to deliver at pace and build a trusted-advisor relationship with working partners
- Passionate about the ESG agenda
- Role relevant qualifications, i.e. Suitable professional qualifications are desirable but not essential
